If your flight home is not as originally planned, please book your own reasonably priced accommodation we ask that this is comparable to your original holiday accommodation and make a claim directly with the Civil Aviation Authority. Make sure you get a receipt from the accommodation provider, showing a full breakdown of the charges as you will need this to make a claim when you get back to the UK. If you pay in cash, please ask the accommodation provider to confirm your payment on your receipt.

If your flight home is not as originally planned the Civil Aviation Authority will seek to guarantee your stay directly with your hotel. If you are experiencing difficulties with your ATOL-protected hotel, or your hotel is requesting payment from you, please call our call centre on +44 1386 298 033. Please note that it may take the CAA a few days to secure these arrangements.

While arrangements are being made, please do not make a payment to your hotel unless instructed otherwise by the Civil Aviation Authority team. If the Civil Aviation Authority guarantee is not accepted by the accommodation provider, we may need to relocate you to another hotel for the duration of your stay. In these circumstances, the Civil Aviation Authority will inform other suppliers, such as transfers, of the change to your accommodation and flight details.

For all customer due to depart in September 2019 we will be contacting passengers with their options in due course. Please be rest assured that your holiday is financially protected. In order to secure your flight as quickly as possible we ask that you book your own flights and we will refund your Thomas Cook flight money once we have received this refund from the Civil Aviation Authority. If you book your replacement flights, please call our Customer Service team in order for us to update your transfer details and or any other elements. If you have been unable to find replacement flights, please email [email protected] adding your booking reference number and Thomas Cook cancellation in the subject.
