About This Property

The Hotel Sis Pins was opened in response to a demand for beach hotels in Majorca during 1952, and has been offering people a warm welcome ever since. Our distinctive personal touches have enticed many visitors to our hotel over the subsequent years, and local legend even tells how Agatha Christie once stayed at our hotel when writing one of her bestselling novels. Our sea front location in the Majorcan Port of Pollensa is also beautifully picturesque, and we truly have something to offer everyone, whether they are looking to simply wander on the soft sands, climb or cycle through the nearby mountains, ramble in the countryside or just stay put to celebrate the diverse and exciting nightlife.

We’re especially famous among those looking for Puerto Pollensa hotels because of our location to the beach, marina and shops, and we’re proud to be a true beach front hotel. Our sea view rooms certainly have to be seen to be believed, and even if you’re just relaxing with the windows open you’ll still be within easy earshot of the gentle waves. We’re situated just 20 short yards away from the sea and you can enjoy this environment even if you choose to relax at our associated café, Cappuccino Grand Café. Things to do in Puerto Pollensa

Puerto Pollensa

A real jewel among Majorca’s resorts, Puerto Pollensa has everything you would expect of a Spanish town and one that affords the perfect location for a family holiday. Great for kids and adult couples alike, the horseshoe-shaped bay is sheltered and framed by a gorgeous backdrop formed by the Tramuntana mountain range. It is also one of the best resorts for holidaymakers who are seeking a last minute holiday or deals that include anything from self catering weekend breaks to all inclusive hotels. Puerto Pollensa has a range of accommodation which ranges from villas to rent as well as luxurious hotels, so it is always possible to book the right sort of holiday for you. Located in the north of the island, it takes under an hour to transfer there from Majorca’s major airport hub in Palma.

Wonderful Weather

The climate in Puerto Pollensa is one of the chief reasons that so many tourists like it and continue to book their holidays there year after year. The temperature infrequently dips under below 10 C during the winter months, making it a great place to head to for some sun year round. Between mid November and April, you probably just need to take a light jacket out with you in the evening and you won’t need even that during the day. During the summer months between May and October the average maximum temperature gets up to 25 C and will peak significantly higher than that. Puerto Pollensa sees rainfall very rarely meaning that it is ideal for sun worshipers. In the summer, a good time of day to head out is during the balmy early evening when tourists and locals, alike, take a stroll in the streets and by the marina.

The Terrific Town

There is little doubt that Puerto Pollensa is a beautiful town – something that cannot be said of every Mediterranean resort that offers cheap package holidays. Right next to the main beach is Pine Walk, a tree lined walkway that hugs the coastline. The town is also bursting with seafood restaurants offering traditional Majorcan produce. The town’s main square, Plaza Miguel Capllonch, is at the centre of things in the evening and is lined on three sides by bars, cafes and restaurants. If you want to experience an authentic Spanish market, then head to the square on a Wednesday and enjoy the hustle and bustle there. Architecturally, Puerto Pollensa is packed with charming old stone-built houses. The trendy marina has plenty of yachts moored up you can find some good restaurants to dine at which overlook it

.

Active Attractions

There are plenty of fun things to do around the resort, so it is great for a family holiday. One of the best things for kids is the children’s splash park which offers a great range of facilities. There are a number of baby sitting and day care services for younger kids that you can use if you need them. Cycling is a popular activity all over the island and Puerto Pollensa has its own hire centre which offers a convenient delivery and collection service which means they bring the bikes to your villa or hotel for you. If you want to explore the coast, then it is also easy to find a suitably sized vessel at the marina who can take you and your party on a day trip.

Fun Fiestas

Puerto Pollensa is blessed with a number of fun times of year to visit that make your package holiday all that more special. For instance, there is a week-long carnival in February as well as Sant Antoni Fiesta which takes place in January. During the summer months you can see a procession through the town followed by traditional dances at the celebration of Corpus Christi. In Puerto Pollensa many of these festivities include fireworks which tend to be set off in the evening. Another good tip to head to the resort is to coincide with the Feste de la Verge del Carmen which is usually held in mid July.
